505 Games have just announced that their state-off-art racing sim, Assetto Corsa, is coming to consoles. The trailer, unveils the Ferrari FXX K hypercar as the Cover Car for Assetto Corsa’s console debut.

The sim, currently PC only, will be released on Xbox One and PS4 on 22 April 2016 (not long to wait). Aside from the pre-order bonus, revealed at the end of the trailer, details are few and far between. The pre-order performance pack will feature the Ferrari 488 GTB, the Audi R8 V10 Plus and the Corvette C7 Stingray.
This is an interesting move from 505. As an Xbox One sim racer myself, it’s great to see more serious racing sims heading to console.
Will the likes of iRacing and RFactor follow? How will this affect the development directions of Forza and Gran Turismo? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
