Strapping a bottle, pump, and tool pouch onto your daily rider is, pretty much, a necessity—unless you’re OK with ambling home every time you find a slow puncture mid-ride. Sure, you can throw all of your gear into a backpack instead, but chances are you will probably forget it at some point, and it can get in the way of riding.
That being said, nobody wants to ride a bike that looks like a market stall—with pieces of gear strapped to every tube. So Topeak has developed a stealthy little bike pump called the Ninja P.
At only 62 grams (2.2 oz), this super-light bike pump hides inside your seatpost to keep the clean lines of your ride, while still easily accessed when needed. Its rubber mounting ring secures the pump and the included position indicators keep track of your seat height.
The Ninja is only compatible with round seatposts, and isn’t going to work with dropper posts or an internally routed dropper cable—but for most rigs it could be an innovative option.
