A couple of years ago we wrote an article about George Jedenoff. Still skiing at 99 and a half years old, George had returned to Alta and Snowbird in Utah every year, since learning to ski at the age of 43 in 1960.
After a quick Google search, I’m happy to report that he continues to ski strong. He was back skiing Utah, earlier this year, at 101 and a half years old—though he’s now 102! George has certainly proved that age is just a number.
This year, the guys at Ski Utah, took a look at George’s exercise program that he credits with keeping himself in shape to ski. From stretching to jogging and situps, George religiously sticks to his exercise routine and completes it every morning before breakfast.
The skiing vet also credits his optimistic attitude that he says he’s had all his life. “Don’t let your problems get you down,” he says. “Stay positive.”
As a bonus, here’s a clip of George skiing on his 100th birthday, on July 5th 2017. It was the heat of summer, so the team at Snowbird groomed a patch of snow high in the Wasatch Mountains to help George celebrate the big day in style.
Like us, I bet George is excited about the coming ski season.
