This is so rad. The pic has been dug up by the Milwaukee Recreation Department, from their archives, and dates from the 1930s or 40s. The vintage bike frame has had its front rim removed and a third fork, with an ice skate blade, attached in its place. So before the first trip into the mountains, where mountain biking was formed, the humble bike had already conquered the ice. Check out the footage of the icycle below:
