Have you ever imagined what it would be like if real life was the same as Grand Theft Auto? Seeing yourself in third person, with a little map following you around, and non-player characters walking awkwardly around you repeating the same phrase?
Well, mountain bike extraordinaire Fabio Wibmer certainly has. The Austrian trials bike wizard has released a new edit called Video Game (Grand Theft Bike). And, as the name suggests, it’s a fun take on the legendary open-world Rockstar Games franchise.
With the ever-increasing use of 360 cameras enabling incredible drone-like shots to be captured by anyone, it’s a concept that’s been doing the rounds. In fact, we’ve just picked up an Insta360 X3 camera for use in our YouTube videos. However, this has to be one of the highest-production takes yet…there’s even a Red Bull helicopter!
So, set aside 10 minutes and escape into the crazy world of Grand Theft Bike. There’s some truly wild stunts here, stunts that really do feel like they’ve been laser-beamed directly out of your 4K TV and next-gen console combo.
Video Game (Grand Theft Bike) was produced by Sick Cinema. Team: Filmer/Editor – Marius Prell, Drone Pilot/BTS – Max Kuntze, Photography/Glidecam – Hannes Berger, Management – Alexander Schöll
