Shanghai-based company Fissot, has created a kayak designed especially for fishing. Its MFK003 kayak not only has built-in rod holders and storage space for fish, but it also folds out so that the fisherman can stand up to reel in their catch.
Standing up in a kayak has always come with its problems. But the MFK003 utilises a pair of retractable stabilisers that can be deployed to give the boat extra balance. The user can also raise a foldable support bar to help support him/her when standing.
The kayak also comes with a 480W battery powered motor which, according to the company, has a top speed of 6-8 mph. This enables its user to just sit back and enjoy the ride, or keep an eye out for their next catch.
According to the company, the kayak is also designed for use in all types of water including the ocean.
The kayak is currently retailing for $2,997 (£2313) from the company’s website.
