A brand new app called SKADI has been launched that creates a personalised itinerary of a ski resort. It is aimed at skiers and snowboarders looking to make the most of the mountain with their own personal guide.
The app provides both visual and audio guidance that includes all the mapped out ski runs and lifts and also helps users to find points of interest.
Users can download the app and ski resort maps on their mobile devices when they have an internet connection, then enabling off-line use of the app once downloaded. While the app is free to download, users then choose to pay for the service on a daily, weekly or annual basis.
Maps have been specially created for each ski resort and currently the app covers all the major destinations in Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland with more to come, including Whistler-Blackcomb BC, in the New Year.
The brand behind the new app is Mobile Angels, an innovative software development company, based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Of the launch, SKADI’s co-Founder Sergey Cymbal said:
We’ve been developing our app for over one year now and we’re really excited to be launching it into the market. SKADI is a great tool to get accustomed to a new resort and now skiers and snowboarders can get unlimited freedom, all focused on their level of expertise. No more concerns about finding your way around the mountain, getting back to the hotel in time, finding those awkward ski lift connections or meeting the kids at the right place after ski school.
The app launched in December 2016 and is available in various languages including: English, French, and Spanish.
